Alum Volunteer Opportunities

Interested in supporting a teacher or program? We welcome back all of our alum in supporting our curricular and co-curricular programming. Please let us know the specific area in which you’re interested in supporting. 

Date & Time: All Year Round

We welcome our alum to volunteer at our annual Fall Fair, where the Montcrest community (past and present) comes together as the MPA transforms the campus into a Fall Fair fun zone. Enjoy BBQ, crafts, inflatables, photo booth, “dunk the teacher (or Principal),” alum ultimate frisbee tournament, pie contest, pumpkin carving contest, and more.

Date & Time: Saturday, September 27th, 2025 | 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Information session for prospective families for JK – Gr 1. The alum panel share their experiences in JK, SK or Grade 1 are integral to the success of the information session with Parents.

Date & Time: Thursday, November 13th, 2025 | 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.

This is a much loved Montcrest event. Volunteers will be asked to support with Bingo card checks, registration and clean up!

Date & Time: Friday, November 14th, 2025 | 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

In-person session to tell the story of our Middle School program. This event is for prospective families and current parents. A teacher panel, student panel, and alum panel are also included.

Date & Time: Friday, November 20th, 2025 | 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.

Alum volunteers are needed to help with registration, pizza and concession sales and clean up!

Date & Time: Thursday, January 22nd, 2026

Applicants spend an hour on campus working through some activities with the Kindergarten teachers, the admissions team, and some LT and Student Success team members. While the children are in their session, parents have an interactive info session with Staff and some Montcrest Alum.

Date & Time: Saturday, January 24th, 2026 | 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Each April, we host an event for current Grade 8 students, where an Alum panel will share their experiences of transitioning from Montcrest to a new high school. We are looking for Alum who are interested in sharing their advice, and information they wish they had known to help prepare and transition smoothly.

Date & Time: Thursday, April 16th, 2026 | 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Current grandparents and families will join us on campus for a special morning of music, classroom activities and refreshments. Alum volunteers are needed for registration, photography, refreshments and as classroom helpers.

Date & Time: Friday, May 1st, 2026 | Session 1: 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. | Session 2: 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

We need kite builders! Don’t worry if you don’t remember how to build a kite; instructions and all supplies will be provided.
