A Personalized Journey

This personalized journey empowers every child to understand themselves, develop essential skills, and grow into the person they're meant to be, ensuring they leave Montcrest ready to confidently engage with the complexities of the world.

The Story of a Montcrest Learner begins with our aim for all students to understand themselves and what it means to be a learner: to be good people, good with ideas, and good with skills.

Standing for Character Values

At Montcrest we intentionally cultivate the development of respect, integrity, compassion, courage and curiosity in the members of our community, so they may foster a conscious, lifelong commitment to themselves, others, and the Earth.

These values are an important part of each person's Montcrest experience and our community members' life beyond Montcrest.

Life After Montcrest

The transition to high school is a significant milestone, shaping a student's social, emotional, and academic future. Our Grade 9 Application and Placement program is designed to inform, support, and guide Montcrest students and parents through this decision. By understanding your child's unique learning ‘Story' and leveraging the insights of our dedicated faculty, we work together to identify the best high school environment for them, whether in the public or independent system for their next chapter in life.

I am grateful for the guidance I received from the faculty and staff at Montcrest. Whether it was the mock interviews with Mr. Barry, wise words from Ms. Vincent or English lessons with Ms. Klein and Ms. Smith, I knew I was moving on to high school ready and prepared.

Montcrest Alum

The way we manage multiple projects and assignments at Montcrest helps a lot. Getting used to balancing different subjects and deadlines makes me feel prepared for high school. It helps me learn how to organize my time and get things done.

Grade 8 Student

I’ve realized that I can be a leader. Montcrest gave me the building blocks to become a really good leader, and I think I’ll continue to be a leader when I’m older.
