Each year, the Montcrest Players come together to produce a full-scale play, first presenting it to students and then offering a final performance for the entire Montcrest community, including families and friends. In May 2025, they continued this tradition with their production of PUFFS, Matt Cox’s humorous and heartfelt retelling of seven years at “A Certain School of Magic and Magic.”

The show followed the story of three Puffs—Wayne, Oliver, and Megan—as they navigated school, friendship, and the challenges of always being the underdogs. The final performance on May 28 highlighted the hard work and collaboration of our student cast and crew, and gave the Montcrest community an opportunity to come together and celebrate their talent and dedication.

This production truly showcases what it means to be a Montcrest learner. We've seen firsthand students, initially shy, blossom into compelling communicators as they found their voices on stage. And, other students were indispensable backstage and with tech support, embodying the traits of purposeful problem-solvers and self-aware learners as they meticulously coordinated every detail, from props to cues. These co-curricular opportunities create a clear pathway to becoming not just great performers but also innovative creators.
