Aftercare School Programming & After School Care
After the bell rings, Montcrest still offers several programming options for students. This includes our daily “Aftercare Program,” providing supervision from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m., and our “After-School (Paid) Programs,” which are a selection of third-party specialty programs families can choose to register for by term (e.g., music lessons, specialty arts programs, etc)
Aftercare
Aftercare is a daily supervised program intended for students in JK to Grade 6. The program runs Monday to Friday from dismissal until 6:00 p.m. Students are supervised while they play with school friends, are offered a facilitated activity daily, and have the option to have quiet time to practice schoolwork. A light snack is provided. Montcrest staffing is based on family need and Aftercare does not have a waitlist.
Registration is available through the MyMontcrest Portal.
Aftercare Fees:
Families register for the full term or the full school year. As shown below, there is a discount for families that register for the full year. All rates are payable in advance, at the start of every term or the start of the year for the full-year plan. All fees are non-refundable and are charged to the family’s school account.
*If a student is participating in our other After School Paid Programs on campus, they can access Aftercare before or after. A credit for this time will be added to their account.

Drop-In Aftercare
If a student requires unexpected after-school supervision, Montcrest’s drop-in rates are:
- $15 for 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
- $30 for 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
To access Drop-In Aftercare, parents are asked to inform their homeroom teacher and the aftercare team at aftercare@montcrest.ca.
After School (Paid) Programs
After School Programs are hosted by third-party companies who join us on campus to run specialty programs (not to be confused with Aftercare). These are paid programs that families can choose to register for. These programs run after school ONLY.

PA Day & School Break Programs
When Montcrest is closed on days outside of the TDSB calendar, we often partner with outside program providers/camps to offer programming options specifically for Montcrest students. This information is shared seasonally through our family communication, The Mirror.
